Real Wedding :: Junko & Lisandro

Thursday, February 18, 2010
Perfection is the only word that comes to mind when describing Junko & Lisandro's gorgeous wedding in Hawaii. Junko meticulously planned every chic detail with the help of the very talented Sandra Williams of  Finishing Touch. We seriously can not get enough of these images shot by Frank Amodo...from the bright color palette to romantic wedding dress and the insanely gorgeous cake. Everything was perfection. Congratulations Junko & Lisandro, we feel so honored to have been a part of such special day!

Real Weddings :: Sharon & Brian

Tuesday, January 05, 2010
Working with Sharon & Brian was such a delightful treat. Their quick wit kept us laughing and their keen eye for design kept us on our toes. They knew exactly what they wanted and communicated it perfectly..."we want our guest to feel as if they stumbled upon a great party in an enchanted forrest". They wanted the invitations to feel chic, organic & humorous.  We created a booklet style invitation complete with custom artwork.  At first glance the cover of the booklet looks like you are peaking through the forest, but if you look really close there are lots of little surprises...

Sharon & Brian reserved the Jewish Retreat Center, Isabella Freedman, for Labor Day weekend. They thoughtfully planned activities for their guests and provided copious details & information to help them prepare.  From the looks of the incredible photographs, the "Wild Wedding Weekend" turned out exactly how they had planned.

Real Weddings :: Ami & Kevin

Friday, September 04, 2009

We know it has been several months since our last post, but we are going to make up for it with today's Real Wedding feature.  It has been a great summer & wedding season.  We have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful brides and even assisted in the set-up of some amazing affairs.   Our absolute favorite of the year was Ami & Kevin's wedding at the Montage Resort & Spa.  Kelly Michelle Weddings contracted Prim & Pixie to provide the stationery along with several other exciting projects like the birdcage, flip flops, cocktail napkins, ice bar artwork & all of the items for the ice cream bar.  We were also lucky enough to assist Kelly in set-up on the day of the big event.  It was so great to work along side some of the best vendors in the business.  We are  going to let the pictures speak for themselves. So sit back and be prepared to swoon. Oh, and when you are done drooling over the pictures, head over to Elysium Productions blog post and check out the incredible video!

Pixie Picks :: Contrast Shoes

Tuesday, April 28, 2009
The days of dyed to match shoes are coming to a screeching halt. More and more pictures are popping up with the bride or the maids wearing contrast shoes.  My personal favorite examples are the one's of daring brides with brightly colored toes peeking out of their antique white dresses.  Chelsea Petaja of Oh My Deer pulled this look off perfectly...{pictured below in yellow}.  If you prefer to keep your feet classic, then opt for your bridesmaids to wear a contrasting color to their dresses.  Your pictures will thank you!

Perfect Palettes :: Peach & Grey

Sunday, April 19, 2009
While I was researching material for our first "Perfect Palettes" post, I ran across the blog First Comes Love...Amorology. I only had a finite amount of time to work on this project but when I landed on this blog I was sucked in..for hours. So instead of doing my laundry and walking my dogs I devoured their blog and website and fell head over heals.

This wedding was one of my favorites that Amor.ology designed. The color palette is absolutely peachy keen...

Pixie Picks :: Save the Date DVD

Monday, April 13, 2009
"Pixie Picks" will be a new series of posts that will feature fabulous finds, diy projects or fresh ideas that have our stamp of approval for your wedding day or fabulous affair.

The first post of this series features a Save the Date we did for our clients, Ami & Kevin, who will marry this May. The event is being held at the incredible Montage Resort & Spa in Laguna Beach. We teamed up with the event designer, Kelly Meyer, to design a save the date that set the tone for the impending platinum event.  Kelly arranged for Elysium Productions to film video of Ami & Kevin's engagement photo shoot.  Elysium then edited the footage and created a video montage with a combination of still shots, video and  great music.  We designed the information cards with fancy ornaments and  packaged the DVD in our linear square pocketfolds. The guests were thrilled to receive a save the date with great information and a keepsake of the beautiful couple.

Please CLICK HERE to view the amazing video created by Elysium Productions.

We think this is a great idea that all brides can implement. If you did not budget for a videographer to tag along on your engagement shoot, then ask your photographer to create a montage of the images they shoot and set it to your song of choice.  Hazelnut Photography has done a great job of this, check out her site for a super cool example.

This idea is certainly not limited to save the dates and can also be used for wedding invitations & parties. Marsupial Papers has produced an digital invitation that sends chills up my spine. Please watch, enjoy & contact us if you want this to be your invitation!

Real Weddings :: Rebecca & Vic

Thursday, April 02, 2009
We can not say enough wonderful things about this wedding....The unique color combination, the vintage/spanish feel, the lace table overlays and The Dress. Um, did you see the back of her dress? Stunning. It was not a surprise to us that the wedding turned out so gorgeous, Rebecca is an absolute doll with incredible taste. It was such a great pleasure to work with her. I am sure it also helped that she had Jennifer Johnson on her side and The Deering Estate as the backdrop of her fabulous affair.
